Growing our own vegetables

the children plant the seeds and tend to them in the rooms whilst learning lifecycle processes.

When we see the initial growth and the weather is better, we help our gardener to transfer them into our allotment.

Now we all help to keep everything watered and ensure that nothing gets trodden on.

Every day we observe and talk about the growth and any changes that have occurred

When they are ready, we help to dig up the vegetables and we are so excited when they have got so big.

When we have harvested the crops, we take them in to wash and prepare for our meal.

We share them for dinner.

Washing the vegetables

We use mathematical language as we work.

this one is small; this one is the biggest.

We are all very proud to have helped to grow our own onions and potatoes
